This Privacy Policy describes how AsthmaGo Junior (“the Application”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, retains, and deletes user information. The Application is intended solely for reference and educational purposes and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In the event of an emergency, users should seek professional medical assistance immediately.

1. Scope of Data Collection

The Application stores user‑generated information exclusively on the user’s device. Such information may include, but is not limited to, symptom logs, medication records, measurement data, or other health‑related entries manually input by the user.

The Application does not transmit, upload, or synchronize any personal or medical data to external servers, cloud services, or third‑party platforms unless the user explicitly initiates such actions.

2. Data Retention Policy

To comply with applicable regulations and platform requirements, the Application adopts the following data retention practices:

  • All data is stored locally on the user’s device and retained for a maximum period of three (3) years.
  • Upon reaching the three‑year retention limit, the Application will automatically delete, purge, or render the data non‑recoverable.
  • If the user deletes the Application, resets the device, or clears the Application’s storage, all locally stored data will be permanently removed and cannot be restored.
  • The Application does not maintain any remote backups or server‑side storage; therefore, no data is retained outside the user’s device.

3. Data Deletion Procedure

Users may request deletion of their data at any time. The Application provides the following mechanisms:

3.1 In‑App Deletion

Users may permanently delete all locally stored data through the following path within the Application:

Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data

Once executed, all data stored on the device will be irreversibly removed.

3.2 Device‑Level Deletion

Users may also delete data by performing the following actions through the device’s operating system:

  • Clearing the Application’s storage
  • Uninstalling the Application

These actions will permanently remove all data associated with the Application.

3.3 No Remote Deletion Required

Because the Application does not store any data on external servers, users do not need to submit remote deletion requests.

4. Data Sharing and Third‑Party Access

The Application does not share, sell, disclose, or transfer user data to any third parties. Data will only be shared if the user explicitly chooses to export or transmit information through features provided within the Application.

5. Security Measures

The Application implements the following safeguards to protect user data:

  • All data is stored locally and protected by the device’s built‑in security mechanisms.
  • No data is transmitted externally without user consent, minimizing exposure to unauthorized access.
  • The Application adheres to principles of data minimization and user control.

The Application aligns with relevant data protection standards, including GDPR and the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO).

6. Children’s Data Protection

The Application does not actively collect personal data from children. Any information entered into the Application is provided voluntarily by the user, parent, or legal guardian and remains stored solely on the device.
